Diptychs
The subject matter of the last diptych is the wall of the school, then the sewer grate on the ground below. The red of the bricks and the rust-orange/brown of the grate contrast nicely. The photos are horizontal, and the two pictures relate with their horizontal lines stretching across the photo, their reddish brown colors, and their visual texture. They also relate with the fact that the wall as a sprinkler on it, and the grate is for water run-off, connecting the two with water. Conceptually, both of these pictures are man-made, not to be found originally in nature. This diptych gives off a "wow" feeling, with the contrast boosted, kind of giving it a creepy vibe. It shows the difference between nature and man, with the previous diptych showing nature and this one showing man.
